‘Axiom Verge’ will satisfy any serious itch for ‘Metroid’

Metroid games never come out fast enough to satisfy diehards. Axiom Verge doesn’t have Samus in it, but will feel awesomely familiar.

After a freak accident, scientist Trace finds himself smack dab in the middle of an alien world. He must explore, gain new abilities and fight a strange (but oddly familiar) enemy. Does this patter sound familiar? Axiom Verge offers the same great open world sidescrolling you get in a classic Metroid.

Still, Axiom Verge is so awesome it will all seem new again, with fresh retro style graphics and awesome weapons Samus could only dream of. There’s a reason it’s been ported to every system under the sun at this point: it’s universally amazing.
