Tomi Lahren makes the horrible mistake of attacking Beyoncé on Twitter

Beyonce and Tomi Lahren

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, Sports Illustrated presented Colin Kaepernick with the Muhammad Ali Legacy award. An honor the magazine says is intended to “celebrate individuals whose dedication to the ideals of sportsmanship has spanned decades and whose career in athletics has directly or indirectly impacted the world.”

There to personally hand the award to Kaepernick was none other than Beyoncé, who said she was both “proud and humbled” to present the award and thanked the quarterback for his personal sacrifice.

“Colin took action with no fear of consequence or repercussion, only hope to change the world for the better,” said the singer “To change perception, to change the way we treat each other, especially people of color. We’re still waiting for the world to catch up.”

The crowd seemed thrilled to see the two icons on stage together, but not everyone was happy. Well known right-wing political commentator Tomi Lahren, who has a history of creating incendiary tweets, decided it was the perfect opportunity to attack both Kaepernick and Beyoncé.

And obviously, if you attack Queen Bey, you’re gonna get stung.

There are some pretty sweet burns in there, but perhaps it’s best to let Lonnie Ali, Muhammad’s widow, have the last word.

I am proud to be able to present this to Colin for his passionate defense of social justice and civil rights for all people. Like Muhammad, Colin is a man who stands on his convictions with confidence and courage, undaunted by the personal sacrifices he has had to make to have his message heard. And he has used his celebrity and philanthropy to benefit some of our most vulnerable community members.
